club nights get big -- Posted by Chairman on Friday, August 25 2006
Last night saw the biggest turn-out of drivers for a thursday night session yet to date proving that their has been a need for this kind of practice session, although the light is starting to go against us the practice itself was invaluble to many drivers, tonight saw the testing of the new truggy from Mugen the turning on this truck was astounding and the power down of the engine installed was truly awsome test drivers Lewis Millman and Cameron Ellis threw the car round the new purpose built Astro track with average laps of less than 33 secs considering the laps times for a standard 1/8th rally x buggy on the track is approx 30-33 sec this proved that in the right hands the Truggy is an awsome piece of kitThe new Club Curry and Race has gone down well and will be used regularly next year at our club meetings the disapointing thing is the club will have to stop running club meetings on a thursday shortly due to the dark nights comming in the club hopes we will be able to get a few more nights in however the plan will be to stop from Mid September restarting begining of April 2007
